BiographyAs a lifelong resident of Vancouver, Aaron believes in creating healthy and sustainable communities. While living downtown, Aaron was involved in numerous projects that addressed everything from reducing property crime; to creating community gardens, and the renewal of St. Paul’s Hospital. Aaron first worked in the tourism industry taking international guests on tour throughout Western Canada. His attention to detail, community knowledge and dedication to client service consistently earned him top industry recognition as one of the best tour guides in Vancouver for 15 years. From 2008-2014 Aaron was elected as a Commissioner on the Vancouver Park Board. As Chair, he was responsible for a $100M annual operating budget. In addition to the creation of 7 new parks, he oversaw extensive investments in existing parks such as Grandview, Mt. Pleasant, Norquay and Riley Park. He also helped secure future funding to build a new Killarney seniors centre and rebuild the Britannia Community Centre. Balancing community interest, budgets, and the media, all the while keeping focused on achieving sustainable community goals was no easy task. As a home owner raising a young family in Vancouver, Aaron understands that the selling or buying of a home is one of the most important decisions a person will make in their life.
